Interpol to assist Bangladesh in combating cyber-crimes

Interpol has assured Bangladesh of continuing need-based training support for the country’s police.
Interpol President Mireille Ballestrazzi made the statement during a meeting with Foreign Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali, according to a ministry press release issued today.

The duo discussed possible capacity building support by Interpol for Bangladesh’s law enforcement agencies to combat cyber crimes, through the Interpol Global Complex for Innovation, located in Singapore, the release states.

The meeting was held on the sidelines of Global Conference on Cyber Space (GCCS) in The Hague.
The release also said that the Foreign Minister, Abul Hassan Mahmood met Serbian Foreign Minister where they agreed to resume exchange of high-level visits to explore new areas of cooperation between the two countries.

Abul Hassan Mahmood also met Ahmet Üzümcü, Director General, Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) at the latter’s office in the Hague.
